Neil Mason joined HMC as Chief Risk Officer in March 2010. Mr. Mason has over 22 years of markets experience in the banking and hedge fund industries. Prior to joining HMC, Mr. Mason was Chief Investment Officer of FRM Capital Advisors Limited, a subsidiary of Financial Risk Management Limited, a leading independent global fund of hedge funds.

Mr. Mason previously served as Chief Executive Officer of BlueCrest Capital Management Limited, a London based multi-strategy hedge fund manager. At BlueCrest, Mr. Mason was responsible for business and capacity development, trader management and risk management, having joined the business as a portfolio manager. From 2000 to 2003, Mr. Mason was a Managing Director responsible for Bank of America's European interest rate trading business in London, including all cash and derivative interest rate products, and was a member of the Global Markets Management Committee for Europe. Mr. Mason started his career at JP Morgan in London where he spent over 12 years in a number of trading and trading management roles in the interest rate and emerging markets businesses.

Mr. Mason holds a degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Oxford University.
